STCW SHORT COURSES

Overview

The course aims to provide the training for candidates to be proficient in medical first aid on-board ship, in accordance with section A-VI/4 of the STCW code.

Intake Limitations

Maximum 24 students per course.

Academic Faculty

Our training will be delivered by properly qualified lecturers and instructors with qualifications as specified in MSN 03/2022 issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Merchant Shipping Secretariat, Sri Lanka.

Entry Requirements

The course is open to all seafarers who hold certificate of proficiency in Basic Training.

 All trainees must be certified by a doctor to be in good health and have valid medical certificate issued in accordance with provisions of STCW Reg. I/9 and section A-I/9 by DGMS (Director General of Merchant Shipping) approved Medical Practitioner.
