Southern Maritime Training Institute (SMTI) proudly marked a historic milestone in Sri Lanka’s maritime training sector with the official opening of its newly expanded simulation wing on 7th May 2026.
With this latest development, SMTI has officially become the first maritime training institute in Sri Lanka to operate TWO 360-degree Full-Mission Navigation Bridge Simulators, further strengthening its position as a leading provider of world-class maritime education and training.
