Entry Visa Guidelines

An offer letter from Southern Maritime Institute to the student

1. The offer letter should carry the course name and the duration of the Course 
2. Clear copy of the passport of the student
3. A letter addressed to the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration from the Institute mentioning the names of the students, country of origin and state if there is, passport number requesting entry and residence visa.
4. Rs. 750 will be charged for a group of five. In the event is there is only one still Rs. 750 will be charged. 

Above documents are for entry visa. 

Apart from the above following documents are needed for students from 

Angola, Nigeria, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Bangladesh, Maldives, Iran and Turkey 

1. 3 Photocopies of Dully Filled “Security Clearance” form with original (Every cage should be filled and if not applicable please write: N/A”
2. 3 Photocopies of Police Report obtained from Home Country with Original (This should be attested by the Embassy)
3. 4 Copies of the BIO Page of the passport
4. 4 copies of course offer letter issued by the institute

Once land, to apply for Residences Visa the following documents are needed

1. Dully Filled Residence Visa Application 
2. Passport Copy 
3. Letter from the Institute 
4. Line Ministry Recommendation (if relevant) 
5. DIE form (Department format) – Click Here
6. Medical Report from IOM (International Organization for Migration)
7. Security Clearance Application form (If necessary) 
8. Letter from the Embassy
