They provide strategic guidance and oversight to our management team, and they play a vital role in ensuring that our company is well-positioned for future growth.

Our board members have a wealth of experience in the Maritime Industries they are all passionate about our company’s mission and vision, and they are committed to helping us achieve our goals.

Capt. Romesh Peters

Capt. Romesh Peters, a past pupil of St. Anthony’s College, Kandy, joined merchant ships as a deck cadet in 1992 and qualified as a Master Mariner, Class 1 (UK) in 2004.

With comprehensive sea experience and commitment to working towards career and industry advancement, he possesses a sound knowledge of various maritime-related industries.

He is the Director of Zindhu Maritime Solutions, Zindhu Business Solutions, Zindhu Earth, Zanska UK, Zindhu UK, and joined the board of directors of the Southern Maritime Training Institute, Galle in 2022.

He is presently working as a Marine Pilot for the Port of London, UK.

Capt. Nalin Peiris

Having studied at Ananda College, Colombo 10, he completed cadet training, onboard training ship M V Lanka Kalyani of Ceylon Shipping Cooperation and passed out as the ‘Best All Rounder Cadet’ in 1977. The Shipping Corporation of India awarded the “Dufferin Silver Jubilee Medal” for obtaining the highest marks at the 2nd Mates Certificate of Competency examination in 1979.
Since then, he has proved a promising career ahead in the Maritime Field by achieving numerous awards in the field of studies and many years of experience in commanding Foreign-going vessels, as a Nautical Lecturer and has held the positions of a crew manager in Ceyline Shipping Ltd. serving in various ascending capacities and joined the Board of Directors as a shareholder and held the positions of Director / Group Director Ceyline Shipping Ltd., Ceyline Travels (Pvt) Ltd., Ceyship Management Ltd. He is the Honorary Filing Agent in Sri Lanka for The Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry, The Republic of Marshall Islands Registry, and Antigua & Barbados Registry, and the appointed Licensed Surveyor for Survey of Vessels – Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Going further in the field, he established MANACO MARINE (PVT) LTD., in December 2013, a company engaged in ship’s crew recruitment and management, port agency services, chartering, maritime transportation and logistics, and continues to function as the CEO.
At present, he is the Chairman of the National Union of Seafarers Trust Fund and the Vice President of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Sri Lanka branch.

Capt. Sanjeewa Usgoda Arachchi

Completing the school career at Kingswood College, Kandy, Capt. I. S. Usgoda Arachchi opened his doors as a seafarer in 1991, joining Mercantile Seamen Training Institute, Galle. He completed the Associated Diploma in Maritime Science in 1998 at Fremantle Maritime Campus in Perth, Australia, and the Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science, Chief Mate Class 11 in 2005 at Warsash Maritime Center in Southampton, UK, and completed Master Mariner, Class 1 at Warsash Maritime Center in Southampton, UK in 2008.

He commanded his first vessel in 2010, and served at sea until 2015 when he was appointed a Marine Pilot at the Port of Colombo in 2015.

He believes in keeping himself engaged with the industry and is currently reading for an MBA at Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He serves as the Honorary Secretary of the Company of Master Mariners and has also engaged in business interests unrelated to the field of shipping.

Capt. Suren Gurusinghe

A seafarer with nearly 31 years of experience in the maritime industry and currently serving as a
Master on oil and chemical tankers, started the career at sea as a Deck Cadet at CINEC Campus in 1991 and obtained the Master Mariner, Class 1 certification from Fleetwood Nautical Campus, UK in 1999.

In a career that began in 1991 and advanced through ascending ranks, he commanded the first vessel in 2005. In addition to over 17 years of experience in command of various types of tankers, he was appointed by CINEC Campus as Director in Charge and Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Maritime Academy (FMA) in the Fiji Islands and gave leadership to FMA to become the South Pacific’s leading maritime academy.

Possesses an MBA degree from Solent University, UK with vast experience in the maritime industry who can apply extensive knowledge of the industry and statutory regulations to contribute towards improving the maritime industry.

Mr. Aruna Warsakoon

He started his seagoing career as an Engineering Cadet in 1994 and qualified as a Chief Marine Engineer (UK) in 2007, and is a dedicated and reliable Marine Chief Engineer with a strong vessel safety maintenance record.

With sound marine engineering technical knowledge, he is a performance-driven, versatile leader with over 27 years of Vessel Maintenance Engineering, Management, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Human Resource Management and General Engineering in the marine industry.

He is the co-founder and consultant engineer of Master Work (Pvt) Ltd., and is a Director of TASS International Tea Company.
