BSM Delegation Visit to SMTI – August 2025
A high-level delegation from Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) visited the Southern Maritime Training Institute (SMTI) between 11th and 13th August 2025.
The delegation was represented by Capt. Subramaniam Kalpathy, Fleet Personnel Manager from BSM Mumbai, and Mr. Athanasios Panoutsopoulos, Head of the Schulte Group Cadet Program from BSM Cyprus.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in productive discussions with the Institution’s Management, undertook a guided tour of SMTI’s facilities, and delivered a presentation about BSM to SMTI students. In addition, interviews were conducted with both Deck and Engine Cadets, giving them the opportunity to directly connect with BSM’s senior management.
This important visit further strengthened the collaboration between SMTI and BSM, while providing our cadets with direct exposure to global maritime career opportunities.
